DANZIG Cancels Minneapolis 'Blackest Of The Black' Concert

November 10, 2010

According to Secrets Of The City, DANZIG's concert last night (Tuesday, November 9) at the Cabooze in Minneapolis, Minnesota as part of the "Blackest Of The Black" tour was canceled an hour before the 6 p.m. showtime. It was such late notice that the venue wasn't able to get the word out that DANZIG wasn't playing, that the rest of the bands on the bill — POSSESSED, MARDUK, TOXIC HOLOCAUST and WITHERED — were still going to perform their scheduled sets, and that the show was going to be free and tickets refunded.

Although there has been no official statement from the DANZIG camp regarding the cancelation, someone from the Cabooze told Secrets Of The City that the show was called off due to the fact that Glenn Danzig thought the stage at the venue was "too small." Like most other touring acts, Danzig apparently has stage size requirements in his booking contract, and it is the promoter's responsibility to make sure the contract guidelines are met.
